Role: Consulting Practice Leader, while a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting
Description: Initiated and built Deloitte's first consulting practice in the Middle East.
Deloitte's global practice management wanted a consulting presence in the strategically
significant Middle East to complement its audit presence based primarily on the
ARAMCO audit. Along with two other managers, relocated to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, hired a
group of Jordanian MBA's, and worked closely with Deloitte's existing practice to establish
a consulting presence in the Middle East. As a practice leader, sold engagements, mentored
new consultants, and later facilitated the integration of a US Partner into the practice.
Outcome: Important wins that established the viability of the Middle East practice included
a $2.5M IT strategy engagement for Riyad Bank and a manufacturing and inventory systems
implementation for Banawi Industrial Group.
